Permissions the iOS app asks for
Which iOS permissions ITMO asks for (location, notifications, camera and photos), why, and how to change your mind in Settings.
We ask for as little as possible, and only when it's useful.
Location
Why: to place your report on the map. The app takes a one-time reading when you report, converts it to a hexagon on your phone (H3 resolution 9, roughly 350 m across), and sends the hexagon rather than your coordinates. See location privacy.
Changing it: iOS Settings, then ITMO, then Location.
Notifications
Why: reminders and alerts you choose. Details in notifications.
Changing it: if you said no, turn notifications on in iOS Settings first, then pick which reminders you want inside ITMO's own Settings. The iOS switch alone doesn't turn any specific reminder on.
Camera and photo library
Why: to attach a photo to a report, if you choose to. You can take one or pick from your library. See photos.
What we don't ask for
We don't use advertising identifiers, and the anonymous device token is stored in the Keychain, not tied to hardware IDs. See what we collect.
